"We talked to people who had built with Mike and Kathy and they all said how easy they were to work with and how they listened to what clients wanted. Mike is very calm, no matter what. Nothing was too much trouble for him and his team, who consulted us whenever decisions had to be made. They also listened to concerns we had, and accommodated changes we made along the way. Kathy was also excellent to work with. We couldn't have wished for a better team to build our house."
"Mike and Kathy Bell and the team were wonderful to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble and in particular, Francis Fitzpatrick, foreman for our house would always take the time to explain things to me and answer any questions I had so I never felt something was too trivial to ask,’’ she said.``I have the home I wanted. It’s easy to live in, easy to clean and wonderful for family and entertaining.’’ In fact the home has been the venue for several special parties, including some `themed’ events like a murder mystery and a medieval dinner. ``The house lends itself well to being dressed up for almost any occasion.’’ "I wanted a window in the guest bedroom set lower than normal and Mike said it would look odd from outside. I said you live inside, not outside your house and I wanted the window to frame the view of the Minden Hills for anyone lying in bed. When the house was complete, Mike agreed I was right – the horizontal window is like a panoramic picture of the view and everyone who stays in that room just loves it,’’ the owner said. "Many people say building a house can be stressful but I didn’t find it stressful at all – I enjoyed the process.’’
"Mike Bell is a very patient man who took time to carefully explain things to me when I didn’t understand because English is my second language,’’ said the proud owner of the Te Puke home which won a silver medal in the under $250,000 category in the Tauranga Master Builders House of the Year awards. ``I wanted Mike and Belco Homes to build my house because I knew them from when they built the Thai Temple at Welcome Bay and I could see how well they worked and how considerate they were,’’ she said. "When the house was finished the foreman tidied the house and site up perfectly.’’
